What is the PCC?

A Parochial Church Council (PCC) is the governing body of a parish church.

Each PCC is a charity and PCC members are trustees of the charity (the parish church). Being a trustee entails various responsibilities under charity law.

The Parochial Church Council (PCC):

  • has a duty to consult with the minister on matters of general concern and importance to the parish.
  • is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the church, churchyard and moveable objects
  • has overall charge of all expenditure
  • are Trustees of the church.

The PCC generally meets once every two months. Minutes of these meetings are available to view once they have been ratified at the following meeting. The most recent minutes can be found using the link below. Minutes of previous meetings can be found in the folder in the church.
