Alpha provides a great chance to meet up with others and to explore the Christian faith together — no pressure and no expectations. It’s for anyone who’s curious, whether you’ve been to church loads, a little, or not at all.
Each session is relaxed and welcoming. We plan to meet in Thakeham Church Rooms. We’ll start each session by eating a meal together, chatting, and getting to know each other. Then we’ll watch a short video that looks at one of life’s big questions around faith and meaning — things like Who is Jesus?, How can we have faith?, and How does God guide us? The videos are about 30 minutes long and are designed to get us all thinking.
After that, we’ll break into small groups to talk about the topic. It’s a safe, open space where everyone’s views are welcome. You can share as much or as little as you like — listening is totally fine too.
There’s no judgement, no pressure, and no right or wrong answers. Just good food, honest conversations, and space to explore. Everyone’s welcome!
