Welcome and Introduction

The Lord be with you
And also with you

Receive God’s Forgiveness

After a period of silent reflection:
Come, let us return to the Lord and say:

Lord our God,
In our sin we have avoided your call.
Our love for you is like a morning cloud,
like the dew that goes away early.
Have mercy on us;
deliver us from judgement;
bind up our wounds and revive us;
in Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Hosea 6)

A Reflection

The Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Merciful Father… … Accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen

Communion Prayer

The Lord be with you         (or)         The Lord is here
And also with you.                         His Spirit is with us

Lift up your heartsWe lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give thanks and praise.

[priest says the communion prayer]

Holy, holy, holy Lord
God of power and might
Heaven and earth are of full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord
Hosanna in the highest.

[the prayer continues]

Praise to you, Lord Jesus:
Dying you destroyed our death,
Rising you restored our life,
Lord Jesus, come in glory.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come; thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.For thine is the kingdom, the power
and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen

We break this bread
To share in the body of Christ.
Though we are many, we are one body,
Because we all share in one bread.

Jesus is the Lamb of God
Who takes away the sin of the world.
Blessed are those who are called to his supper.
Lord, I am not worthy to receive you,
But only say the word, and I shall be healed.

The Communion

From the Book of Common Prayer :
If a person desires to receive [communion], but, by reason of extreme
sickness is unable to eat and drink the Bread and Wine, the Celebrant is to
assure that person that all the benefits of Communion are received, even though is not received with the mouth.

The Post Communion Prayer

Almighty God,
we thank you for feeding us
with the body and blood of your Son Jesus Christ.
Through him we offer you our souls and bodies
to be a living sacrifice.
send us out
In the power of your Spirit
to live and work
to your praise and glory Amen.

The Blessing

Go in peace to love and serve the Lord,
In the name of Christ. Amen.
